I run a few jabber servers, with SSL. I am more than happy to help out
setting one up. I could mabye even talk my boss into providing a hosted
secure IM server (with access to the commercial jabber client <grin>)

interested?  I am offering to help, however i dont have any feelings on
the need to switch "systems"
