It depends on the phone, of course.  Try hunting around a bit on the
website of the manufacturer of your phone, or just Googling on the model
number.  I suppose I was a bit lucky when I picked my Motorola C332,
which just has a USB port on it (It had a somewhat weird connector on
the phone, but CompUSA carried an appropriate cable).  I've never really
had to put it to any use, but it was a neat feature (and I can save/edit
my phonebook once I find or write some decent Linux software for it).

Also, you might just try checking with T-Mobile and see if they have a
connector kit.
