It looks like they are business trying to sell training, certifications
and knowledge.  I'm not sure the group wants to sign up with a for
profit group.  The group should be able to gather the same information
they would provide from Internet resources without the legal mumbo
jumbo.

It doesn't look like there has been much interest in CWNE WUGs.  I
looked on the list of WUGs and so far only 3 states have any listed.
Maybe I'm in the wrong circles but I have not heard of CWNE until now.
If we would partner with someone I would think that SuSE, Apple,
Microsoft, or a major training provider would be the way to go.
