I agree, and also prefer that we not have topic filters until we get to hundreds of emails per day.  Otherwise, the delete key works
just fine, and I prefer not to need to go hunting under various rocks to find the pieces.  I don't believe the term "administrivia"
is misused: this notification is part of the list admin's info shuffle here.  I don't see that as protectable "badge turf" .  :-)
