(ASCEND) PRI padding by telcos

Some months ago, it was mentioned on this list that 
problems with MAX modems had been helped by "turning
off the padding on the PRI."

I mentioned this to our telco rep, and he's coming
back with "we don't know of any way to toggle the
padding."  He asked what switches allow you to tog-
gle it.

If your telco has toggled PRI padding, please let me
know the telco and the type of switch used.  Please
respond via private email; I don't think the whole 
list needs this info.
