tik.m40 is not missing. The name of the software load has changed.
Before you even try to download the software, run, do not walk, and
get the release notes for 6.0.0. You can find this valuable, yet
free information on the FTP site.

On page 13, you will find the following "sage" advice:
Upgrading system software
Caution: The procedure for uploading new software to Ascend units have
changed significantly. Carefully read the new software loading procedures
explained in this section before upgrading your system.
As you read the following pages, you will find out about the "restricted"
and "extended" loads (and thus the new names) and how do it right, so you
don't have to drive out to a POP in order to load the old configuration
through the console port.
I won't tell you the "secret" of the new naming scheme - go read it for
yourself.
