(ASCEND) p50 behaviour

Hi all,

I noticed a for me uncomprehensible behaviour of my P50 (5.1A)

I was logged in the system via 2 seesions: a telnet session and a
terminal session via the serial port (to load a configuration)

When I changed some parameters in the config screen, in one session,
this was not relayed to the other session, even not after a ctrl L to
refresh the screen.

Secondly
I loaded a new configufation to a complete different destination after
which I did not reset the system.
After lanching a browser the Pipe set up two connections: 
one to the destination of the newly loaded configuration
one to the destination which was in the pipe previously (and the one I
expected to be overwritten by the nef configuration)

Is this a bug or an undocumented feature?

Should I do always a fclear and nvramclear before loading a new
configuration?
what info is loaded in the flash and what in the novram ?
