The problem that I had was that the ascend devices do not have a static
snmp interface index for a particular connection.
So if the connection for your backbone would drop then come back alive,
and came up under a different 'wanXX' interfacea, the SNMP interface index
number would be different, and your graphs would die..
Is there a way to do this and I just missed it??
I have made a feature request to Ascend to be able to hard code a wanXX
interface number to a connection profile, so that you can more accuratuely
track it without updating your mrtg.cfg file all the time..
You could in theory write a script to find out the current index number of
a certain connection profile via snmp, then return that.. Has anyone done
that?
