(ASCEND) Series 56 modem cards versus ISDN usage..

Greetings everyone. Apologies is this falls under the FAQ status, but
before our site folks finally place the order for a Max 4004 to replace
our old hunk o' dialin junk that has been deteriorating as our lab dialin
server, I wanted to make certain that the following config would work as
I've read in the literature.

We will be connected via 2 PRIs (at first), and until we can get ISDN
deployed with 2-factor security (SecurID cards), we will be moving our
existing user base from v.34 to K56flex connections. Since 2 PRIs yields
46 B channels I would expect that ordering _4_ 12 port Series 56 digital
modem cards will provide the max number of "analog" modem ports to dial
into, yet with the Hybrid Access option we will be able to steal some of
these away for ISDN calls as time goes on. The exact order config looks
like:

                Qty Equipment
                 1 Ascend MAX4004
        --->     3      12 port K56flex Digital Modem Card
1 ISDN and Hybrid Signaling Package
                 1 Access Control Software

The site folks are arguing that we currenly use only 32 modems, thus their
rationale for only going with 3 12-port Series 56 digital modem cards. I'm
arguing that since the old system is unreliable, our users haven't been using
it as much and I'd like to expand analog capacity now, knowing that as we
deploy ISDN service it will chew into the analog capacity and perhaps
necessitate getting another PRI from USWest.

Adding an extra 12 port S56 card will not hurt possible ISDN usage, only
gain us additional ports for v.34 and K56flex calls, right?

Thanks.
