Oops. The K56Plus protocol is Rockwell's and *IT WILL* connect to the MAX
or TNT,
as they still support K56Plus as well as K56Flex and V.90.
The K56Plus problem is that it will not connect to Lucent RAS (PM3).

Hmm....what revision level was the MAX, and what firmware did the client
modems
have?

Actually the V.90 upgrade would be better. The TNT 2.1.3 supports V.90 and
we seem to
be having better results with V.90 than we did with the K56Flex modems.
