RE: (ASCEND) PPTP?
Peter,
There isn't anything that needs to be done to allow GRE packets
through any router [that I know of.]
One thing to watch out for is that some ISPs filter GRE packets.

Subject: (ASCEND) PPTP?
I have someone who is trying to VPN from some random dialup to a nailed
56K
connection on a pipe130. Microsoft is telling him that perhaps we dont
have GRE set up properly on the router. Is that possible? I read
through
the RFC and it doesn't really seem to tell me a whole lot. Has anyone
else
got anything like this working? The only thing I can see remotely
having
anything to do with VPN is the ATMP option which seems to run on a
different port than what my customer is trying to use. Thanks,
Peter
