(ASCEND) URGENT 6.1.0 Stuff #1

*************** Special Note ***************
Notice of Software Errors in TAOS 6.1.0 and Suggested Work-Arounds
Ascend customers have reported three classes of problems with True Access
(TAOS) version 6.1.0 since its June 1 release date. The problems, with
suggested work-arounds, are listed below. Ascend recommends not running
the 6.1.0 release unless you can comply with the work-around recommendations.

1. Abnormal disconnects associated with the use of the LQM (Link
Quality Management). The work-around is to disable the LQM feature.

2. IP address pool leaks, associated with multi-channel digital
calls. If you use this feature, you should plan on periodic reboots
to recover the lost pools.

3. Low memory conditions. This problem has manifested itself
most typlically as a Warning 175. It can also be related to
other failure modes, such as failure to establish telnet sessions to
the MAX, or other fatal errors. This problem has been reported by a
minority of customers, and is believed to be related to configuration
details which are not yet understood. You should plan on testing
your configuration at full call load to determine if any of these
symptoms appear.
