(ASCEND) max6k 100Mb FD?

Does anyone know offhand if any special configuration is required to
get a MAX 6000 into 100Mb full duplex mode?  Yes, the MAX is going
into a 100Mb switch that can do full duplex.  Currently, the switch is
in
auto negotiate mode, and is seeing the MAX as 100Mb half duplex.
Forcing the switch into full duplex mode does not seem to help.  I guess

I could try forcing the switch into 100Mb FD, and then reboot the MAX...

Does anybody have any hints?
