(ASCEND) Max 4048 / Radius / MPP usage (fwd)
Once upon a time Jerry O'Brien shaped the electrons to say...
>Do MPP connections need separate UNIX user/password for each line?
No.
>Do I need to assign a static IP addr for each line?
No.
>Is there an online tutorial covering this?
I don't know.
>Also, I haven't found how to allow/disallow a user from logging in multiple
>times. Is there a Radius attribute that controls this?
There is no real standard way to do this. Port-Limit is the RFC standard
way, via RADIUS, to control the number of ports allowed in an MP bundle.
But this doesn't stop multiple individual logins.
I believe Ascend has a proprietary attribute to attempt to control this.
There are also a few RADIUS servers, like Cistron RADIUS, that can do it.
