(ASCEND) OSPF Stub Areas

Anyone out there have OSPF stub areas working with their Ascend products, 
specifically the MAX1800/MAX40xx series TA's?  We are currently revamping 
our IGP structure and are finding that these types of OSPF areas are not 
working well with the Ascend products.

Any tips are much appriciated.
