(ASCEND) SuperPipe 155 and DHCP
Hey all,
I am trying to get a customer's SuperPipe 155 up and running as a
replacement for his current 3Com 56k LAN router. Everything seems to have
gone well as far as getting the ISDN and NAT running (his lan is using
192.168.1.0/27 - yeah I said /27). But the problem is getting his stupid
Win98 boxes to see the DHCP server on bootup. When they do come up, it's
with some very strange IP (169.yadda yadda) and a netmask of 255.255.0.0.
After they've booted, if I run winipcfg.exe and do a 'renew all' it will
get a valid IP and all the dns and gateway info. Any idea what I might be
missing? DHCP is working flawlessly with his 3Com unit.
I believe it is running v7.4.1 code.
If it matters, I have one permanently mapped IP for a print server.
