(ASCEND) User logins - Scripts Vs PAP

OK. Dumb question time.

When I got my first max many years ago, it was set up to do scripted
logins only (for reasons probably best forgotten).

Each time we got a new Max, the setup was duplicated, so they all work the
same way, and I suppose what you never had, you never miss.....

Well, we recently added an ACC Tigris to our pool, and it does login/PAP,
so people with scripted logins still work, but MUCH more interestingly,
those using windows WITHOUT a script, *ALSO WORK* properly using the same
raduis server as the Maxen.

Now, the fellow who helped me set up the Tigris simply set the auth to
login/PAP while the Max seems to be login/CHAP.

I find it hard to believe that the max can't do this too, so can some kind
soul suggest where I find this in the config, and what I need to change?

We're running mostly version 7.0.1 and 7.0.4 code.
