The assigned IP does show up in the route table, I don't know if we'll
add the PING option though:
ascend% sh ip ro
Destination Gateway IF Flg Pref Met Use Age
0.0.0.0/0 192.207.23.93 wan0 Sn 100 1 9 183
Default route point to the MAX I dial into.
10.20.0.0/16 - ie0 C 0 0 3533 249615
My local LAN.
10.20.1.1/32 - local CP 0 0 31151 249615
My local address on my private LAN.
127.0.0.0/8 - bh0 CP 0 0 0 249615
127.0.0.1/32 - local CP 0 0 0 249615
127.0.0.2/32 - rj0 CP 0 0 0 249615
192.168.169.210/32 - local rTn 100 0 0 183
This is the address I was assigned on this connection.
192.207.23.93/32 192.207.23.93 wan0 rTn 100 1 0 183
This is the route to the MAX I'm connected to. (I just *chose* to set it /32,
as it has no real effect).
192.207.23.93/32 192.207.23.93 wan0 *S 120 7 1 249615
The MAX at the other end. I don't recall what *S means...I'll have to look
it up ;-(
Other junk <g> follows....
224.0.0.0/4 - mcast CP 0 0 0 249615
