I have a "new generation" Pipeline 50 (the one that supposedly uses the P75
hardware). My situation has changed since I purchased the unit, and now I
need POTS capability. I can't find any information on how to enable the POTS
ports, and Ascend claims it can't be done. I know it can be, however,
because I have seen it done. The procedure involved typing in some hash
codes in diagnostic mode, but the codes are tied to the hardware serial
number so I can't just use the same ones as the unit I watched being enabled.
I can't afford to buy a P75 right now (even if I sell the P50) otherwise I
would just do that and avoid all the hassle. If anyone can help me get the
POTS ports working, I would be eternally grateful.
Paul
