(ASCEND) Call traffic source detection

I remember reading in the mail list here that there was a way
to trap the source/type of traffic which is bringing up a
call in the pipeline products, so you can analyze it and set
up the proper call filters, or at least determine the source of the
traffic and address it there.

Does anyone have the info on how to do this?
