If this is for the purposes of tracking down spammers and other 
naughty people, Radius accounting "detail" files are good for this 
(and even better when you pump the info into a SQL server!).

I find it much more ordered and useful than lines in syslog.

You can easily tell who had what IP from your pool at what time by 
looking at the start and stop records.
