(ASCEND) Cell- First = NO

I have had a MAX 4000 set up for ages and one of our users (with a dlink 56K
modem) couldn't connect to the BOX.. I tried with the same
modem and it didn't work (even with newest drivers). I looked and looked and
looked on the max to see if I could get it to connect (the modem would try
and connect and retrain and retrain and basically give up)
Finally I found the problem.. the option Cell-First was set to Yes.. When I
set this to No.. it worked perfectly.. Strange thing is I had no complains
with anyone's else's modem connecting with Cell-First = Yes :(
I really don't know what this setting is support but turning it off made it
work Fine

The Dlink modem is a Winmodem :(

Thanks
