Yes but most providers take downstream PPP T1 and connect them
to a frame relay switch. They then oversell the aggregation capacity
to the router or the upstream switch.
DSL comes in to the DSLAM clear channel TDM. The DSLAM converts it to
ATM and gives it to an ATM switch.
This uplink capacity might be oversold. Then there is the ATM trunk
to the router, which is certainly oversold.
