(ASCEND) Forcing a call to a modem

I have this weird problem - apparently somewhere in telco land, there is a
misconfiguration such that it reports a voice call as a digital call, so
that my ascends (its independent of the ascend, or 4048 or 6096) do not
assign it to a modem, but instead treat it as an isdn connection.  (Im on
the circuit now connected with my isdn adapter set to DOV tollmizer)

Is there some parameter/method or some combination of things that I can do
at the term server config level to force them to hand the calls to a modem
even if they are presented as isdn/digital?
