RE: (ASCEND) Error on new TNT Ethernet Card

My card is just an 8 port Ethernet card. I've got two of them in the
box, and the first one has been working fine. The second card is in a
perpetual RESET state, even after I reloaded the tntrel.tar file and
rebooted a few times. When the card is 'up' I get the following
message:
LOG error, Shelf 1, Slot 17, Time: 00:49:52--
Slot 1/3, timeout failure code=0 during TIMEOUT
When I take it down ( slot -d 1 3 ), the error message goes away. I'm
running software 8.0.2

Can I assume this is a bad card?

The last time I called Ascend tech support, it took a full WEEK before
they called me back. And their knowledge level wasn't very high. I'm
guessing I'll get a quicker answer from the people on this mailing list.

Thanks,
Kevin

A
	>'show' gives it's status as 'RESET'

I don't know what an "Ethernet-8" card is, but are you running
a
version of code that supports it? Do you have the image for
that
particular card loaded? Do dircode for a list of what card
images are
loaded. You may need to load a new one for that card.
