To sum it all up...

Let's face it, older players play crossfire because it is hack'n'slash.

More RPG cannot be a bad thing... The race thread is very
good IMHO. But the game's roots are hack'n'slash, and
older players may feel a bit cheated if this part is removed.

Klaus,  I personnally think reducing the amount of monsters
*can* be a good thing. It will just require game balance adjustments,
which will be necessary for 0.96.* anyway.

Only a short opinion for a short question to retrieve an overview:

I don't like a bigger move towards RPG, if the hack'n'slash features of
crossfire will be reduced. And I don't like reducing the (amount of) monsters.
I'm one of the older crossfire players.
