Glibc Question

A guy asked me where he could find a copy of glibc 2.0.7 and I pointed
him to a Linux repository at rufus.w3.org.  He went there and found
glibc 2.0.7 for Redhat and SuSE but no Slackware.  Is there a difference
for something like glibc for the various distributions?
