That's what I ended up doing. My friend showed me a neat little trick.
Edit /etc/passwd, /etc/group and /etc/shadow and just change the username
and the UID's. Make a couple app specific changes when looking in
/home/wrong/ instead of /home/right, but took 5 minutes. Very nice.
