Re: [TCLUG:2960] losing mouse in X11



Check and see what resources your mouse might be conflicting with.  If it
is a serial mouse (ttyS0, ttyS1, cua0, cua1), it might be modem related.
PS/2 (psaux) mice sometimes conflict with other devices on the machine
which occupy the same IRQ.  If the 3-finger salute is enough to fix it,
it's not that big of a problem.  You might want to consider moving the
mouse from the port it uses (PS/2 or serial) to the other.  Most mice come
with a cool PS/2 to serial converters.
