It does bother me. I don't like the fact that they want to close the 
PC architecture. I have bought AMD chips (and I've really liked them)
exclusively over the past few years and will continue to do so until
they don't have as much power over what goes into PCs. One of the
major strengths of the PC architecture is the commodity components and
I think Intel poses a threat to that strength. I realize some
commodity components aren't of the highest quality, but when more than
one source exists for a component, the more likely I will be paying
something closer to its actual cost.

Does this bother anyone? Any feelings on the x86 clone makers? (I

an AMD specifically to avoid buying Intel.)
