Background: Creating the .metaservers file under 2.7pl8 for Solaris
2.5.1 cause a core dump every couple of minutes.

A quick look at the core shows daemon dies. Did not go totally in
depth, but it looks like the solicit code cores if it cannot contact 
server listed in the .metaservers file.

Let me write some code to test this out.
