Could you submit those patches?  I think we'd be better off if people
submitted patches more often instead of sitting on them (though I've
been sitting on one myself).

The submission deadline is on the 20th, and schedules usually come out
a few days after that, so this season is shot for the INL robot.
Getting it finished and tested before the Spring season (sometime in
February) would be good.
