cvs commit (final changes)
cvs tag v_2_9_0
If you want to add the 'v_release' tag for latest release, you should
also do:
cvs tag v_release
If a prior 'v_release' tag exists, you can either overwrite it using:
cvs tag -F v_release
or delete the tag (I prefer this method, but it is more dangerous) using:
cvs tag -d v_release
To export:
cd <some directory outside the source tree>
cvs export -d Vanilla-2.9pl0 -r v_2_9_0 Vanilla
(look in Vanilla-2.9pl0 to be sure everything is fine)
tar cvf Vanilla-2.9pl0.tar Vanilla-2.9pl0
gzip -9v Vanilla-2.9pl0.tar
(ftp to dist sites; I don't know how Bob handles incoming stuff on his
site, but for the backup site at ftp.netrek.org, just upload the copy
to /pub/netrek/incoming/ and I'll move it to /pub/netrek/servers/vanilla/)
