while not speaking to the utility of this for the loring wifi project 
(for which i believe there is some) it's interesting to note for the 
routing nerds amongst us that this includes an implementation of a the 
Hazy Sighted Link State routing protocol (HSLS).  which is another 
flavor of ad-hoc routing protocol that's been floating around for a 
while.

if poking at routing protocols is your thing.  i'd give it a look see.
