Have ideas on how to improve access and availability of broadband in
Minnesota? Do you think Minnesotans would be better served by more
cities building publicly owned broadband infrastructure, as in
Windom, Chaska, and Moorhead? Or by further deregulating cable and
phone companies and providing incentives for them to upgrade their
networks?

Participate in a discussion of these and other telecommunications
policy issues at a special Telecommunication and Information Society
Policy (TISP) Forum:

Roundtable Discussion Robert Crandall, Senior Fellow at the Brookings
Institution, and Minnesota State Senator Steve Kelley
Wednesday, June 14, 2006, 4:00 to 5:30 P.M.

Humphrey Institute of Public Affairs, Room 215, University of
Minnesota, Minneapolis (West Bank)

Both guests will open this special roundtable event with informal
comments, followed by discussion. This program will gather
stakeholder views to incorporate into a forthcoming TISP Forum policy
report. The report will help frame future industry and public sector
decisions for telecommunications and information services in Minnesota.
