(ASCEND) modems disconnetc session
Hello,
I'm using a Max 2012, software feik.m20, release6.1.3, and I'm
new on Ascend.
I' having problems with the max-modems I use for dialin
connections.
The modem that dials in gets a connect and is able to ping or ftp
hosts in our net, but after a short time (20-60 secs) the max kills
this session with the following cause code: 11
I think that means, that the modem detected DCD, but the modem
carrier was lost. We tried different speeds form 28800 to 9600, it s
always the same problem, only the time is changing (20-60 secs).
I also tried different modems, it occures with ELSA Microlink. It
occures to with Ericcson ZAT, with this modem the negotiate the
connection sometimes again, and in this case the connection
works. We tried it with a US Robotics Sportster. Works best of all,
but if I ping 1000 pings, I have a throughput of approximatly 90%.
The telephonelines of the modems are in the same city, so the line
itself couldn t be that bad.
Did you ever experience such problems ???
I don t think that the other modems have problems, I guess the
problem are the max s modems. Could I change some settings in
them? Do they load the factory-settings at initialsation?
