Does it show a C for Calling next to the 1 Active? If so, it means the Pipe
is placing a call, but that's the extent to which that profile is active.

Go to the Terminal. Type show isdn 1. That'll show the Pipe's dial
attempts. Make sure it all looks right (check with the ISP). You can look
up the progress and cause codes on Ascend's web site.

If the ISP doesn't see the call land there at all, it generally means one
of two things: Either you're not dialing the right number (or not dialing
it correctly) or the ISP may get their lines from a telco other than the
ILEC and the ILEC has the translations screwed up. They love to do that. If
that's the case, the telco can have their provider hassle the ILEC, or you
can do it yourself.
