(ASCEND) Meaning of Encaps->SendName in Pipeline v 6.1.0

Finally got around to upgrading my P75 to version 6.1.0. I had been on 5.1
for a long time -- using the philosophy that if it works, don't mess with
it. Had quite a scare after installing the new version -- I couldn't telnet
into the P75. Fortunately, it was just the configuration that got blown
away. Hmm, I followed all the same steps as last time I upgraded.

I notice under each ethernet profile, there is a new parameter
Encaps->SendName. Being immediately between SendAuth and SendPW, one would
think this is how you configure each connection profile to have a login name
specific to that connection. Since I've been waiting for this feature for a
long time, I decided to give it a try -- no luck. Is this just a tease, or
has anyone been able to make it work? Can find anything about this in the
release documentation. Did this parameter first appear in 6.1.0 or has it
been around in previous 6.x.x releases?
