(ASCEND) Pipeline 130 NAT mapping resolved
Loaded 5.1Ap9 and the NAT maps began working. Thanks to all on
the list who provided me with hints.
I am really pleased with all our Ascend equipment and always have
been, but there does need to be a place on the web site that
effectively says "If you want the product to do X, load THIS
code revision".
I'm sure I could have called Ascend tech support and eventually gotten
the correct answer, but stuff like that should be on the web. I assume
that Ascend expect that everyone will load the latest revision and
stringently keep all devices/pops at the very latest code rev, but I
don't know of anyone crazy enough to do that, or to try to use every
single bit of functionality provided within a single device at one time.
So, it would be nice if there was a place that had a list of stable
code revisions linked with known working functions within that code rev.
Of course, Marketing would have kittens, so I doubt it'll happen, but
anything would be better than having to sherlock the list archives to
figure out exactly which code rev works for what I'm trying to do at
the time.
