Franz Krainer has done a great job with SL4NT, a syslog daemon for NT.
It even writes messages into the EventLog, as a background service.
Version 0.3 is freeware, v1.0 (with rule actions etc.) is shareware.
But, alas, only for NT 4.0.

So far from my post dated Wed, 13 Aug 1997 23:57:31 +0100. In the
meantime there might be newer versions. And I think it should run under
W95 also.
