(ASCEND) flash error while upgrading p130(4.6A -> 4.6C)

Ok.. this sucks.. I have a pipeline130 (serial # S/N: 6120353) connected to
my FR-T1. Im at Software version 4.6A and want to upgrade to the latest by
way of 4.6C+. when starting the tload from my
tftp server i get this error:
flash programing error
download error - code too large
----- data lost -----
download error - code too large

Ok.. maybe thats too big of a jump.. so i go and grab the 4.6bi9 binary..
Same error.. How can i get this software upgraded without
the flash being overun with errors. ( i am ftpping the binaries in binary
mode) The software running on my pipeline is over 2 years old. ( I'm from
the old school where "If it aint broke why fix it?" Now, i want
to have the lastest and greatest because were upgrading our
network infrastructure.. 

Cna anyone help or point me int he right direction?
