RE: (ASCEND) odd user entry in Ascend MAX for ISDN MPP connectio
John,
we see something similar here. Are your MAXen configured with stacking
enabled ?
If joe-user has a pipeline and his first call terminates on MAX 1, all
looks good.
Now if the second channel is answered by MAX 2, then a show users on MAX
1
would display what you have below, i.e.
I 250432682 3:8 9:1 64K MPP[750] 209.12.1.1 gw-cm
O 0 n/a 0:0 56KR PPP n/a gw-cm
Definite diplay bug.... Communications / bonding does not seem
to be affected.
Sincerely,
Nelson Llabona

Subject: (ASCEND) odd user entry in Ascend MAX for ISDN
MPP connectio
I've got an Pipeline 50 router which is supposed to connect to
my
Ascend MAX4000 using a 128k MPP connection. Everything seems
to work alright, but when I do a show users at the MAX terminal
server, I get this wierd entry:
I 250432682 3:8 9:1 64K MPP[750] 209.12.1.1 gw-cm
O 0 n/a 0:0 56KR PPP n/a gw-cm
Can anyone explain that second entry and why it shows 56KR and
encaps of PPP instead of MPP[750] to match the second entry?
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. Here's the corresponding
RADIUS entry for this profile:
gw-cm Password = "XXXXXXXXXX"
User-Service = Framed-User,
Framed-Protocol = MPP,
Ascend-Route-IP = Route-IP-Yes,
Framed-Address = 209.12.1.1,
Framed-Netmask = 255.255.255.192,
Ascend-Maximum-Channels = 2,
Ascend-Idle-Limit = 64000
I'm using 5.0Ap36 on the Max and 5.1A on the P50
