(ASCEND) Propogating Static Routes on DSLTNT

Hi, I'm having a bit of a routing problem:

I have an SDSL connection to another ISP in town, and the link is up fine.
They have a whole bunch of networks, of which

204.225.16.0/20

is one. In the TNT, I have set up the following static route:

admin> list
[in IP-ROUTE/nas1]
name* = nas1
dest-address = 204.225.16.0/20
netmask = 255.255.240.0
gateway-address = 199.243.225.1
metric = 2
cost = 1
preference = 60
third-party = no
ase-type = type-1
ase-tag = c0:00:00:00
private-route = no
active-route = yes
ase7-adv = N/A
vrouter = ""
inter-vrouter = ""

But, if I try to trace to this address from the TNT itself, it goes out
through my main Internet connection. Obviously, the goal here is to remove
as much direct traffic from the Internet as possible. What am I doing
wrong?
