(ASCEND) admin from dial in

We are running a 6000 I am new to ascend and trying to set up to be able to
do admin from hyper term to modems.

I got the box to let me in but cannot do commands from this login.  What do
I need to config to allow this kind of admin. access?

All telnet functions work ok, and can do from telnet but also need this type
access.
