Boy do I remember those days :-)

Alarm light is on whenever there is no active WAN connection.

Cool.... On a Cable note, any straight through wired twisted pair cabling works
fine with a T1.  As with anything, shielded and shorter is always better.  T1s
use only 4 wires, so if all four connect end to end, you are in good shape. 
You can build your own with a short piece of cable and a couple of RJ-45s....

Sounds like no Default Gateway/Route defined in the Max...Ethernet...Static
Routes....Point it to your local Cisco.

The Maxen are so flexible that there is no way based on what you've said to
assist you in a "Basic" setup.  Contact me directly if you have some more
