(ASCEND) Dazed and Confused in Dallas

Hello Everybody...

               I am having some difficulty figuring out what I need to solve my dilemna.I have an Ascend MAX2000 which dials out to another MAX through a PRI line. Once connected, we use a older MS-DOS piece of software to transfer files. Now normally we dial using a hyperterminal connection that goes straight to MAX. But we need to automate this process, which means I need the MS-DOS software to initiate the call and make the connection. How this is accomplished is by sending V.25 command strings directly to MAX over a V.35 cable to the HOST/AIM6 card we have installed. I can control some of port leads with the  software. I can raise and drop DTR with it. But I cannot get the software to initiate a connection. On a Multiband, I am able to initiate the connection and even specify what call profile I want to dial. But no such luck on my MAX. If anyone out there could help me I would be much obliged.

BTW the software version of the MAX is +5.0ap3 and it does have the
V.25bis dialing software installed
