(ASCEND) Linux Multilink

Hi all

Has anyone got analog MP (two 56k modems) working on Linux talking to 
Ascend gear OR an alternative (EQL) ?

Problem/Method 1
We have tried using Linux 2.2.2 and 2.2.12 (on Redhat 6) with the patches 
at http://linux-mp.terz.de/ but in both cases the machine crashes after a 
few days of use with a kernel panic.

Problem/Method 2
Have tried EQL but can't get the second modem to log in, both 4000s (6.1.3) 
and TNT (7.0.22) reject the second call after negotiating an IP address 
with the client end with the message "Invalid-Incoming-User". My guess is 
that it won't allow two users online simultaneously with the same IP address.

Does anyone have any suggestions for either our first or second problem (I 
just need both modems working somehow!) ?

I can't believe all of this isn't supported in pppd yet.
