RE: (ASCEND) Close code 185
Jerry this is a thread that I started earlier about the
disconnect cause 185. I have found the same thing as Tony.
However, our problem might be a bit different. My users
only connect for about 1-10 seconds and then the call is
dropped, but the latest drivers for a modem usually fix
the problem.

I see this too, but I've found three frequent factors - early USR v.90
modems, LTwin modems that haven't been software upgraded and Compaq
Persarios.
