(ASCEND) how to configure p75 dailing into max with multiple possilbe gw ip;'s

I cannot figure out how to configure my p75 to dial into my isps new maxs which have rollover
so the default gateway could be one of serveral ip addresses.. If I remove the default static route
from the routing table after connecting ok to the max (leaving all ip addresses in the config as 0.0.0.0) no default gateway is ever established so routing does not work..

If I put the default static route in and am lucky enough to get the max with that ip on dialup
all works ok.. how can I get this to work..

in the past I either needed a static route or put in a real ip address for the rem addr field
since I was connection to another pipeline..
