(ASCEND) Mixing E1's on an E1 card ?

I have a site with a Max TNT that already has 6 E1's (ISDN PRI) connected to
one 8e1 card. Now they have connected another E1 but this one is not ISDN PRI,
but is Signaling Type: E1-R2. They were unable to get the E1 to work, and I have
been brought into the picture to remotely try to get it to work.

What I am wondering is ... IS this a compatable thing to do? Can different
types of E1's be connected to the same 8e1 card?
